For Teen Boys
Outside of the many changes teen boys experience, they also face a lot of pressure. Pressure internally, with managing the changes happening in their lives, and their own expectations, and pressure externally, with navigating the expectations of others. If you (or your teen) is having a tough time adjusting with the changes and demands of adolescenthood, please contact us if you have any questions or schedule an appointment today!

For Men
As men, we are led to believe that asking for help is a sign of weakness, instead of wisdom. So much pressure is placed on us from ourselves, our family, and society that asking for help seems futile. We are taught to compartmentalize our pain, confusion, and distress, because our examples of masculinity are rooted in being physically strong and mentally tough.
We allow society to place us inside a “man-box” where vulnerability does not exist, because it’s the opposite of being a protector and a leader. We’d rather find other ways to decompress, suppress, or express our woes, and not all those ways are healthy or beneficial to our wellbeing and families. If you’re wanting something different for a change, then give counseling a chance by scheduling an appointment today!
